Casa Esperanza - Nov. 2008

Hi everyone.

Greetings from the Peters family in Guatemala. On behalf of Casa Esperanza Children`s Home and "Families in Crisis" Ministry, we are presently looking at starting a center block making facility in our area. We are hoping to raise about $50,000 dollars which would cover buying a used "working" flatbed truck, two block forming machines, machinery & basic tools, supplies, building a large lean-to work area including money towards leasing a piece of land to set up and open this facility nearby. Guatemala's economy has been in a slow upward climb and even more in these last 3 years. The government is becoming more stable, roads are being repaired, a new bigger International airport re-modeled and construction is happening everywhere despite the circumstances in the United States. Guatemala still has a long way to go but is moving forward. Two years ago there was only 3 internet cafe`s in Chiquimullia where we live and now we have over 30+ internet places. Technology is advancing here. Most of the building and construction materials used here is block & steel with the majority of blocks made and delivered from the Guatemala city area which is 2 hours away. Delivery is also expensive due to the high fuel prices. Now is the time to open up such a facility here.

We presently have 37 children in our home which takes alot of help and money to operate. A home where children can be safe, loved & cared for with the love of Jesus. We feel that at some point Casa Esperanza will house 50 children and possibly rescue up to 10 more children temporarily until authorities can find a safe alternate home. We provide not only the basic needs like food & clothing to every child, but a future. We provide education, transportation to & from school, textbooks, uniforms, medical, dental & eye care, surgery when needed, christian child counselling, legal & court fees in custody battles and not to mention the basic costs like electricity, water, and general maintenance etc. Our home also supports 12 full-time paid Guatemalans. Most of our paid Guatemalans too come from poor homes and/or single parent families. Remember our home is also open 24/7 and we now have 3 babies and 34 children ages 1 to 17 to love and care for. Please join us as we network together and believe that God will provide the finances we need to help make this project come together for these people & children.

Although at this time we only have about 65% of our Casa kids and "Families in Crises" sponsored, your contribution towards this project would help fund a self-generating cash flow to help support, and hopefully fullly finance the remaining 35% who have no sponsors. Please join us in prayer and consider donating towards this project for 2009. A tax receipt can be given for any amount over $25 and is tax-deductible through FeViva World Missions. Payment can be made by cheque, visa or Pay Pal. Please note to Casa Esperanza "Project Rescue". Please click here to make your one time or monthly contribution. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me at sgpeters7@hotmail.com. Thank you.

P.S. We value all who work and pray behind the scenes, the unseen warriors. Keep up the good work and know that the Lord sees the works of all your deeds and He will bless you and your children. Together with the Lord, we can make a difference with one child and one family at a time.

Steven & Patricia, Justin, Jelissa, Jenea & Jesse.
